SigmaTEK is actively seeking a Post Developer with a technical understanding of machinery and software to add to our growing team. You will be responsible for the creation, modification, and integration of post-processors through our SigmaNest Nesting Software. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are needed as you'll have the opportunity to work closely with customers and Application Engineers working to modify and develop new posts in pascal code.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop new post processors to support CNC machines within our proprietary CAD/CAM software
- Work with customers and partners to build test cases, NC programs, and runoff parts for the post certification process for CNC machines
- Provide technical consultation to the software development, sales, and applications support departments regarding the capabilities, variations, and output requirements for the variety of supported CNC machines
- Modify and maintain existing customers post processors on an on-going basis
- Create accompanying post user documentation
- Travel to customer and partner sites to implement and troubleshoot post processors
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 2-5 years’ experience in software development and/or mechanical engineering with a focus in CAD/CAM, sheet metal fabrication, steel plate processing, and CNC programming (familiarity with G-code)
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong math skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred
- Experience with programming in Delphi, C , and C#
- Computer Science and CNC programming background highly desirable

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
