GM Warehouse - Wine and Spirits Distributor

Leading and expanding wine and spirits distributor representing innovative global brands. Wholesale distributor and 3rd party logistics provider operating in IL, WI, and CO.

Responsibilities:

Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations through initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements. Manages the dispatch and routing of delivery vehicles. Ensures accurate and timely delivery of product. Onboards new 3PL customers and manages the day to day of existing customers. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciles with the ERP system.

Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts.

Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training. scheduling and assigning employees. Continuous Improvement on staff performance by coaching, counseling, and retraining. Directly manage 2 Supervisors and 25 employees.

Manages financial objectives by preparing annual budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances.

Warehouse Hours are 5:00 AM - 12:00 AM, Monday-Friday. GM working hours are 9:00AM Monday - Friday with flexibility for some weekend work needed for inventory / onboarding new 3PL customers.

Some oversight over 2nd DC facility in WI.

Qualifications:

5 years as a warehouse manager in food or beverage.

Direct management of a team of 25 , leadership skills, setting goals, motivating, managing conflict, prioritizing, and delegating work.

In-depth understanding of the industry, logistics and company best practices and safety for the warehouse.

Financial experience in managing operations.

State driver’s license with satisfactory DMV driving record.

Experience operating a forklift.

Proficient with computers and comfortable using inventory management software.

Salary Range $90-$100K, 10% annual bonus opportunity, company benefits, 401(k), vacation. vacation, personal days, and sick days.
