Event Services Manager

Job Summary:
Camp Allen is a Christian based conference and retreat center that is open year round. We are seeking a self motivated, highly organized individual to manage a team of 2-3 to provide the unique set up of our meeting spaces based on our guest's requirements. This person will need to have computer experience and some knowledge of Word and Excel. Camp Allen employees are service driven; creating an exceptional experience for our guests.

Duties:

  • Explain to your team how each meeting space is to be set up, and in many cases assist them with the organization of the room
  • You must be able to carry and place items over 40 lbs.
  • Ensure that meeting space set up meets or exceeds the guest's requirements based on the banquet event order (BEO) that is provided by the event planner
  • Additional set up of some simple electronics will be required. These include microphones, projectors, power management layout, and other audio-visual needs
  • Coordinate event logistics, such as staff scheduling, event setup and breakdown in our various meeting spaces and venues
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests and attendees throughout the event
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless event execution
  • Employee will be required to sign up for Manager on Duty shifts upon completion of training

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, vendors, and team members
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn our event management software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33,000.00 - $37,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Events management: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
