POSITION OVERVIEW: The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of office operations at Camp Daggett, collaborating closely with the Executive Director and staff.
This role involves managing operational and legal compliance for summer camp registration, waiting lists, camper scholarships, and communication with camper families in coordination with the program team.
Responsibilities include overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable through QuickBooks Online, working alongside the Executive Director to enhance and implement policies and procedures, and maintaining control of all Camp Daggett databases.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage day-to-day office operations and maintain general filing systems.
- Input invoices and other data into QuickBooks Online, review expense reports, and handle banking deposits.
- Oversee all external databases including Donor Perfect, Camp Brain and Podio.
- Maintain understanding and management of camp filing systems, phone systems, computer servers, and other equipment.
- Assist Directors in invoicing groups participating in programs and support the Development Director with donor-related programs.
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and ensure office coverage and supply purchasing.
- Oversee purchases, sales, and general operations of the camp store.
- Fulfill other duties as necessary to advance the Camp Daggett mission.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent life or professional experience considered.
- Two years of experience with QuickBooks Online; certification preferred.
- Office administrative experience, including proficiency in software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks Online.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new skills and grow professionally.
