What are the responsibilities and job description for the Horseback Riding Specialist position at Camp Sealth?
Teach and lead horseback riding and horse-related activities including arena lessons, trail rides, and ground lessons. In addition, the Riding specialists are responsible for the feeding and care of our herd of 24 horses. Previous experience with teaching and a high level of competence in riding is required (Western preferred). This is a great job working with kids and with horses in a inclusive and fun outdoor environment!

Who We Are: Camp Sealth is owned and operated by Camp Fire, a national youth organization. We are located on Vashon Island, a beautiful area just 20 minutes from Seattle by ferry. We’re a friendly, inclusive community of campers and staff, accredited by the American Camp Association, and passionate about helping kids become caring, responsible individuals. Our campers range from age 5-17, and we offer numerous specialty and leadership camps to keep kids coming back year after year!
Dates: June 19th - August 31st, 2022
Benefits: Housing for the duration of your employment, meals in our dining hall leftovers when available, 2 weeks of paid training, camp t-shirt, on-site laundry room, wifi, and organized activities most weekends off.
Schedule: Camp sessions run Monday-Saturday with 2 hour break every day, one night off per week (off from about 9 PM until curfew, must stay on site), with most weekends off being from Saturday afternoon until Monday mornings.
