What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Office Staff position at Camp Somerset for Girls?
Camp Somerset for Girls of Smithfield, Maine is a residential summer camp that opened in 2018. We are currently hiring commuter day staff (part-time and full-time) for an administrative position in the office. Shifts are approximately 7 am - 2 pm or 1 pm -7 pm. Applicants must have a flexible schedule and be able to work weekends.
Dates of Position: June 5 to August 11
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- First line of contact with vendors, visitors, parents, campers and the public
- Utilize campminder for programming, travel, and correspondence functions
- Answer telephone as needed; reply to office emails
- Communication with parents
- Maintenance, cleanliness, and supply stocking of Office
- Filing, data-input, payment processing, and general clerical duties
- Check voice-mail hourly. Parents should receive immediate callback from secretary relaying that the call was received and the appropriate staff member will be notified and will return their call.
- Check email hourly. Parents should receive immediate email response that the email was received and appropriate action is being taken
- Log mail and packages
- Distribute mail and packages
- Manage supply inventory. Reorder when necessary.
- Make copies
- Assist in camper call hour management
- Print emails from parents in the morning. Distribute camper email/mail at lunch. Bunk Counselors will pick up packages in the office and bring back to the bunks.
- Keep walkie-talkies charged.
