What are the responsibilities and job description for the Band Teacher position at Camp Zeke?
Spend an incredible summer working with kids at Camp Zeke! Camp Zeke celebrates healthy, active living through whole foods, sports, fitness, and culinary arts! We are located on 560 serene acres in Northeastern, PA, and have campers ages 7-17.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for the well-being of campers & showing them an amazing summer of growth
- Live in a cabin with up to twelve campers and three co-counselors
- Assist in our music program at camp – to include teaching singing and the basics of playing musical instruments – dependent on your particular skills.
- Lead and teach American and Hebrew folk songs in camp-wide song and dance sessions after meals, during Jewish programs, in campfire settings, and during various down times throughout the day.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Work from June 19th to August 8th and live onsite at our camp in Northeastern, PA
- Passion for summer camp and working with kids
- Experience working with kids is a big plus, ideally in a camp setting
- Must be a high school graduate as of June 2023
- Must have prior experience either teaching or participating in singing or music programs.
