VA Commonwealth Attorney Political Director

Buta Biberaj is seeking a Political Director for her run for re-election to the office of Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney. The position will run at least through November 2023.

The Political Director will join the campaign’s senior leadership and work with the Campaign Manager, and candidate to manage political outreach and coordination. We are looking for a smart, creative, hard-working team player, committed to helping our team succeed in a fast-paced environment with a generous and collaborative approach.

Detailed responsibilities include: 

• Develop and maintain close relationships with political leaders in diverse communities throughout the state, including:
  • Tracking and managing outreach to potential individual and organizational endorsers; 
  • Acting as a point of contact for existing endorsers and their staff and leaders, including tracking and coordinating their voter contact activities on behalf of the campaign. 
• Represent the campaign to a wide variety of political stakeholders, and develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key elected officials, community activists, labor leaders, and candidates for other offices. 
• Provide high-level advice to the candidate & campaign manager on strategic campaign development and coordinate with other departments within the campaign to ensure that the political program aligns with the candidate’s broader organizing and policy strategy.
• Manage candidate political call time, make lists, and track follow-up to optimize her outreach to leaders throughout the Commonwealth and Loudoun County. 
• Coordinate joint petitioning and voter contact activities with cross-endorsed candidates. 
• Coordinate events, forums, and appearances with endorsers. 
• Other responsibilities assigned as needed.
