Reporting to the Vice President-Treasurer, this position is responsible for managing debt portfolio and related refinancing, financial risk management and various other corporate finance activities. This role has significant interaction with senior Campbell leadership including the CFO, and his leadership team providing critical financial analysis and insights to impact positive business results. This role will have one direct report and will have influence on several indirect reports and is responsible for their development.
Capital Structure and Financings
- Determine and execute strategy to maintain optimal capital structure
- Manage existing debt portfolio and interest expense
- Maintains working knowledge of Company's business plan to ensure that liquidity is ensured
- Collaborates with Accounting, Tax, and Legal to ensure the proper execution, documentation and accounting of all financings and derivatives activity
- Prepares the presentation materials to be provided to senior management, and/or the Board of Directors
- Assists in the formulation of Treasury and Corporate Finance policies and supports in enforcement oversight
- Support strategic corporate projects and initiatives
- Review Company's overall interest rate risk exposure; ensures continued evaluation of interest rate environment and any necessary risk mitigation strategies; executes and manages hedges as needed.
- Execute (as needed) and support in managing the Company's foreign exchange and commodities hedging programs
- Review month/quarter end financial reporting related to derivatives
- Work with Controller’s team to achieve appropriate derivative accounting
- Supports Vice President-Treasurer with developing presentations and maintaining relationships with credit rating agencies and banks
- Evaluate new ways of working and technology solutions to enhance effectiveness and speed of analysis and execution in Treasury. Work with internal IT team to develop functional specifications for system enhancements and lead cross functional teams for execution
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree (BA in Accounting or Finance preferred)
- 15 years’ financial management experience including minimum of 5 in treasury
- Advanced knowledge of bank credit agreement provisions and capital markets
- Good understanding of macro-economic trends and interrelationship between financial markets
- Excellent financial modeling skills
- Proficiency in Bloomberg
- Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize information, develop insights and communicate effectively in presentations and in-person meetings
- Strong business acumen and attention to detail
- Outstanding process and project management skills, including coordinating activities across multiple departments
- Excellent oral & written communication skills and Microsoft Office skills. Prior experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) is a plus
- Strong problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills
- MBA (for technical/analytical foundation)
- CPG or Manufacturing experience
- Experience in Investment Banking
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, including executive management, both within the organization and externally
- Experience leading finance teams with experience in supporting executive level leaders
- Effectively manage and build capabilities and culture for high performing professional team
