Job Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for managing pipeline and facilities construction projects including planning, managing project financials and closeout. They manage different teams of professionals in the execution of this work depending on the stage of the projects. Project Managers work closely and interactively with clients including reporting progress and making forecasts for cost and schedule. Project Managers are responsible for project scope, schedule, budget and change orders for assigned projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for thoroughly understanding and communicating client requirements and project risks to appropriate team members, and managing all requirements to ensure client expectations are met.
  • Establish ownership of project tasks, ensure that team members have the skills and tools necessary to complete assigned tasks, and provide timely feedback to team members.
  • Coordinate and facilitate project deliverables - determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time and manpower requirements, and sequencing project elements.
  • Works with Superintendent/Construction Manager to confirm schedule and resources.
  • Verifies material resources are ordered and readied with Procurement department.
  • Track project progress, review project tasks and deliverables to make certain deadlines are met.
  • Schedules subcontractors to complete project (IME,NDE, Compaction Testing, etc.).
  • Assess project issues and identify solutions to ensure project is delivered on-time and within budget while meeting client and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for verifying that ETC’s are updated and invoices are completed in a timely manner.
  • On a weekly basis communicate status of project scope, schedule and budget issues, and risks to Management.
  • Conduct regular status meetings with all internal stakeholders and client representatives.
  • Manage through Constructability reviews of drawings, and comparison to client specifications. Provide constructability comments to engineering. to ensure ongoing alignment with client expectations and requirements.
  • Ensure project compliance with appropriate government regulations, safety rules, and company and client policies.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
  • This position requires 5-10 years of pipeline/facilities experience including a minimum of 2 years project management experience.
  • Understanding of CFR 192 & 195 codes and applicable ASME and API standards is preferred.
  • Experience working on Gas Distribution projects and/or electrical upgrades is desirable.
  • Experience working both independently and, in a team, -oriented, collaborative environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
