What are the responsibilities and job description for the Motor Vehicle Loan Specialist position at Campus Federal Credit Union?
Campus Federal Credit Union has immediate opening for a Motor Vehicle Loan Specialist. The primary purpose of this position is to assist Campus Federal in our Mission, to enhance the lives of our members and the communities we serve. This is accomplished by providing excellent service to members and to team members of Campus Federal.
Responsibilities:
- Act as primary resource to branch lending staff and Loan Operations Team providing information relative to all states’ Department of Public Safety, Secretary of State, Coast Guard, Wildlife & Fisheries, and FAA for titling/transfer and lien recordation of collateral
- Perform quality assurance and compliance review of all motor vehicle and/or UCC collateralized loans to ensure loans meet CFCU’s guidelines and policies as well as adhere to all federal and state regulations; identify errors; write exceptions; exercise authority to correct errors
- Audit invoices from ETitle vendor; authorize payment to Finance Department

Perfect vehicle & boat, motor, trailer collateral for direct loans
- Determine documentation, taxes, and fees; complete and process paperwork to obtain vehicle transfer and/or lien recordation through appropriate state Tag Agency/Secretary of State/Coast Guard/FAA/Wildlife & Fisheries as applicable; exercise authority to correct as needed; maintain follow-up for receipt of lien perfected collateral; mail license plates
- Ensure electronic lien & title entries are accurately completed
- Reconcile all dollars collected and spent for lien perfection including writing official checks and balancing the general ledger account
- Maintain Pending Title Report for direct loans with vehicle or UCC collateral; follow-up to ensure receipt of lien perfect collateral

Release collateral ensuring debt secured by collateral is paid in full and collateral is released to appropriate party; maintain proper records of release
- Receive request and process Satisfaction of Liens; research & determine if CFCU lien can be released
- Create motor vehicle payoff statements as requested
- Prepare GAP & Warranty monthly reports for management
- Balance general ledger for motor vehicle, GAP/Warranty, & CUNA

Process direct motor vehicle loans
- Work with front line staff to finalize direct vehicle related loans
- Provide courteous & professional service to members, staff, and dealerships
- Determine documentation, taxes, and fees; complete and process paperwork to obtain vehicle transfer and/or lien perfection through appropriate state Tag Agency/Secretary of State/Coast Guard/FAA/Wildlife & Fisheries; exercise authority to correct if necessary
- Obtain signatures on loan documentation, book & fund loans
- Ensure loan is properly collateralized
- Work audit reports
- Provide Notary Services
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Louisiana Notary preferred
- 1-year relevant financial institution experience with a concentration on motor vehicle experience and loan documentation
