What are the responsibilities and job description for the CIO-CC position at CampusWorks, Inc.?
At CampusWorks, Inc. we are always seeking highly skilled CIOs with experience in Higher Education to be part of our growing organization. While we may not have an immediate need, we will keep you in mind for future opportunities in the next 3 to 12 months. The CIO is matched with a client institution where they will play a vital role in ensuring that technology is effectively aligned and leveraged to support the institution's mission vision and values.
The CIO is accountable for all aspects of IT strategy, alignment, planning, IT budget and support for their organization. The two critical competencies for the Senior IT executive are to fully understand the goals, objectives and operations of the organization at a functional level. The Senior IT executive will need to be well fully versed in the operational parameters of the organization and function at a peer level with the Senior Cabinet and executives. Secondly, the Senior IT executive must be technically competent to lead the technical team and align their efforts such that the team delivers coordinated, effective, efficient IT services to the organization.
The CIO will need to develop and maintain ongoing professional relationships with the Sr. Leadership team and the President of the organization such that there is trust and alignment between the IT function and the rest of the organization.
The CIO will lead the strategic IT planning, alignment and tactical planning for the organization as well as being accountable to facilitate the IT governance process(s) necessary to prioritize, fund and deliver IT services for the organization.
The CIO will be accountable to establish and maintain performance metrics that measure and report the effectiveness of the IT activities and IT investment made by the organization. These metrics should be driven by student outcomes and other organizational metrics that demonstrate how the organization is better able to meet its goals and objectives through e careful investment in technology to meet those goals.
