CAMS, Community Association Management Services- a local HOA management company is looking for a full-time 40 hour per week Maintenance Technician for work on-site at an HOA condominium community in New Bern, NC.
General Description:
Perform general maintenance/projects and assist in the oversight of contractors/vendors in the community. The hours of work are full-time Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
- Perform assigned work orders in a timely manner
- Control inventory and management of supplies needed in the community for upkeep
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to maintain the physical integrity of the property, amenities and grounds
- Insure a safe and secure living environment for residents and visitors
- Anticipate, identify and correct problems involving the property
- Assist in the oversight of contractors and vendors
- Follow up on service requests and communicate with managers for the highest quality of customer service
Job Requirements:
- Position requires at least 2 years' experience in property maintenance or equivalent field
- Attendance and punctuality are essential
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
- Must be available to perform after-hours emergency calls when needed
- Must be able to respond to emergencies in a timely manner when on call
- Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems
- Must have general construction knowledge including but not limited to light sheetrock repairs and painting
- Must have general knowledge of swimming pool operation
- Must be knowledgeable and skilled with the use of various hand and power tools, lift heavy objects and climb ladders of varying heights
- Must have basic computer skills to input and complete work orders
Benefits and Pay: The pay rate for this position is $15.00 hourly.
