Urban Transportation Manager

Johnstown location. Manage the urban bus service area, overseeing fixed route services. Supervise and provide guidance and support to the transportation staff. Create, update, and maintain public and operator schedules. Provide leadership and support to ensure safe, secure, reliable, and on-time services. Respond to internal and external requests. Project a positive image when coordinating with external agencies.

Preferred experience: At least 5 years of management, supervisory, customer service, and transportation experience, experience working in a union environment, and advanced knowledge of computer applications, including MS Office. Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is preferred.

  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree, preferred in Business Administration and/or Management or a related field
  • Must possess or obtain a Class B CDL with a passenger endorsement and air brake restriction removed (CamTran provides training)
  • Knowledge of the service area
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills along with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to accept night and weekend call outs if need arises
  • Starting Salary Range: $49,920 – $55,000, based on education and experience
