Overview:
As a Landscape Foreman, you will lead and oversee the implementation of landscaping projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, safely, and according to specifications. You will be responsible for managing a team of workers, coordinating project schedules, and maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of landscape construction and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a crew of landscape workers, providing guidance, direction, and supervision throughout all project phases.
  • Coordinate with project managers, landscape architects, and clients to understand project requirements, timelines, and expectations.
  • Plan and organize daily work activities, including task assignments, equipment allocation, and material procurement, to meet project deadlines and budgetary constraints.
  • Supervise and participate in the installation of landscape elements such as plantings, irrigation systems, hardscapes, and outdoor structures.
  • Ensure that all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Train and mentor crew members in proper landscaping techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor project progress, quality of workmanship, and adherence to specifications, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services as needed.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition, conducting regular inspections and scheduling repairs or maintenance as necessary.
  • Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, providing updates on project status, resolving conflicts, and addressing client concerns or requests.
  • Keep accurate records of work hours, materials used, and project expenses for cost tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Promote a positive work environment and foster teamwork, morale, and accountability among crew members.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new materials, and best practices in landscaping techniques and technologies.
  • Represent the company professionally and uphold its reputation for excellence in craftsmanship and customer service.
  • Assist in estimating and bidding on new projects as needed, providing input on labor, materials, and equipment requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in landscaping or horticulture is desirable.
  • Proven experience in landscape construction and maintenance, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of landscaping principles, techniques, and materials, including plant selection, soil preparation, and irrigation systems.
  • Proficiency in operating a variety of landscaping equipment and tools, such as skid-steer loaders, excavators, compactors, and power tools.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor team members.
  • Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and craftsmanship in all aspects of work.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; CDL or other relevant certifications may be required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and operating heavy machinery.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA guidelines and industry best practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Internship

Pay: $21.03 - $25.32 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
  • Year round work

Experience:

  • Foreman: 4 years (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Boise, ID: Relocate before starting work (Required)
