What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Coordinator position at Cana?
We are looking for a high-energy, motivated Operations Coordinator to own all aspects of our offices. This is an exciting opportunity to scale the day-to-day operations of a growing startup, and shape the employee experience. About the Role:
- Manage the day to day operations required to run our office seamlessly and efficiently, from stocking the office with supplies, serving as the contact for property management, and overseeing office improvements and maintenance
- Elevate the employee experience serving as a culture ambassador and building the internal company brand through internal events that align to our operating principles
- Opportunity to contribute to other people-related workflows, such as onboarding, and offboarding, internal comms, and HR operations.
Primary responsibilities:
- Workplace experience: Well-versed in multiple aspects of workplace experience, from office management, to guest experience, to office systems, and budgeting.
- Vendor management: Comfortable identifying, procuring, and managing vendors as needed to ensure the office runs smoothly at all times
- IT: Technologically-adept, able to assist with onboarding new hires to their computers, managing conference room video software, resolving simple IT issues, and troubleshooting.
- Employee experience: Experience creating a positive and intentional employee experience in the workplace that aligns with company culture and values. Experience with event management.
About You:
- 2 years in office management, project management, operations, people ops, or event management
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communications
- Ability to work on-site at our Emeryville and Redwood City, CA locations during normal business hours (9am-5pm, M-F) with some flexibility as coordinated with manager
- Ability to work on-site, occasionally and as needed, on off hours and weekends to support vendor work
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand on ladders up to 3ft
- Proficient in Google Suite (Gmail, Gdrive, Gsheets, etc.)
- Bonus points if you have:
- Admin experience with Rippling, Slack, Confluence
- Have managed an office for a science or hardware company before
- Have project managed a large office move previously
Compensation and Benefits:
- Non-exempt hourly position on a three month contract
- Pay commensurate with experience, $32-48 / hour
- Potential to extend position based on business needs and employee performance
- Eligible for benefits after 90 days of employment
