JOB TITLE: Cooking Instructor
STATUS: Contract
REPORTS TO: Program Director
SUPERVISES: None
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The CSC is looking for a skilled Registered Dietician that can teach a monthly Cooking for Wellness Class at our center. Cooking for Wellness is a long-standing program offered at the CSC that focuses on providing a fun, interactive experience for members to learn about new and interesting dishes they can try on their own. The instructor provides a live demonstration of preparing these recipes while incorporating key elements of nutrition education.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Each class it is expected the instructor select and cook 3-4 nutritious recipes.
2. Purchase ingredients for recipes beforehand. All program expenses will be covered by the CSC.
3. Provide nutritional information and education throughout the duration of the class.
4. Facilitate and engage in discussion throughout the duration of the class.
5. Assist with clean up.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. Registered Dietician (Required)
2. Experience working in oncology preferred.
3. Prior clinical, out-patient, or classroom instruction experience is preferred.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
