Application Support Admin - POS (Point of Sale)

As part of a fast-paced, dynamic Information Technology team, you will support/ troubleshoot store wide POS system patches and upgrades while collaborating closely with Network, Database and Development teams. Responsibilities
- Windows Systems administration supporting 2400 Windows registers, security patching, OS upgrades, troubleshooting
- Support for 2400 Verifone payment devices
- Follow documented procedures to perform Administrative tasks for 350 Linux servers
- SCCM/PowerShell/Windows Bash scripting
- Application and end user support for store systems software
- Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software and hardware related problems
- Work closely with Network, Database, and Development groups
- Physical installation and maintenance of servers
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
- Installation and configuration of operating systems and software products according to pre-defined standards, assessment, refinement, documentation and maintenance of those standards
- General systems maintenance tasks such as daily review of logs and alerts, managing resource usage,etc.
- 24/7 On-call rotation required
Qualifications
- 4 years Systems Administration in a Windows or Linux point of sale environment
- Patch Management
- Experience with SUSE Linux, Apache, PostgreSQL, MySQL is a plus
- Experience with Verifone Pin Pad devices and VHQ is a plus
- Execution of system-related operations, including off-hour maintenance as required
- Ability to document system infrastructure
- Detailed individual who is able to work independently and within the group
