Job Summary: Supervises and oversees the daily operations of safety and security for Carlyle Place, ensuring and maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, guests, and staff. Ensures the security members comply with the policy and procedures pertaining to the premises during shift duty. Updates Safety & Security policy and procedure manuals when policies are updated and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations involving department.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Two years previous experience in a security unit. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Certification/License/Registration: Current Georgia Drivers License and eligible for and must remain eligible for Carlyle Place insurance coverage
- Position Titles and Number Supervised: Security officers
- Special Training/Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory agency standards. Must be able to think analytically and work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to make quick decisions to take corrective action without compromising the functional integrity of the situation. Must have a strong understanding and demonstration of knowledge, skills and abilities as related to safety and security issues. Must possess strong supervisory skills to manage a program of diversification. Must be familiar with uses of Microsoft products (word, excel, and access) and computer software applications used by the organization.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to hear and orally communicate. Must have visual acuity and manual dexterity to type on a computer that is used to fulfill many job requirements. Must be able to move about freely to perform inspections: walking, reaching, and bending. Must be able to lift 50lbs or more max 160lbs with assistance of one. Must be able to remain calm under emergency situations and while dealing with multiple tasks.
