Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Store Supervisor (Asst. Manager) to lead our retail store Dry Cleaning (Plant) serving a variety of customers. The Store Supervisor will be trained and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the store's activities, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing customers, team members and improving sales and margin. After demonstrated ability in this role, the Store Supervisor (Asst. Manager) will be the leading candidate promoted to Manager for this retail store and over time, others. This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals with a good background as retail store manager, willingness to learn and work hard, to excel in a dynamic environment and be rewarded for performance!
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist all walk-in customers in the store
- Front counter help with customer drop-off and pick-up of orders
- Assist customers with cleaning, stain and finishing needs, and/or questions
- Sort and examine articles of clothing
- Mark-In incoming customer orders
- Consistently ensure cash drawer accuracy and integrity
- General housekeeping to support a clean store appearance
- Solve Customer Issues and Claims and escalate as and when needed
- Support and Manage Commercial Accounts
- Master the POS (point of sale) system to maximize its tools and impact
- Other duties as assigned
- Develop and implement effective improvements to improve store performance based on KPIs or Key Performance Indicators used by Leadership Team.
- Lead and motivate a team of employees to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service
- Collaborate with the Leadership team to drive store profitability and meet business objectives
Skills:
- Previous customer service/supervisory experience preferred
- Dry Cleaning experience is considered an asset
- Must be dependable and have strong work ethic to get things done
- Must be comfortable working while standing for long periods of time
- Strong attention to detail
- An understanding of textiles and garments is helpful
