Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Communications Sciences Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology
- Assistant in Speech-Language Pathology licensure granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
- CPR certification
- Bilingual preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologist in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by Speech-Language pathologist.
- Monitor the use of alternative communication devices and systems.
- Collect data and maintain accurate records of student progress
- Participate in ARDs, parent conferences, or other relevant meetings in support of the special education program.
