Manager, Supply Chain Planning - CSP, Canfor Southern Pine, Inc., Mobile, AL. Ensure an efficient flow of lumber products from our US South manufacturing facilities to our reloads, VMI’s, and key global customers. Share best practices in managing Order File, On Time Shipping, Available for Sale, and Inventory Management. Manage the Supply Chain Planning team responsible for tactical execution of order file and inventory management. Establish weekly and monthly processes around managing and executing supply chain components. Be involved in the supply and demand review process and enhance sales and operations planning structures and systems. Identify and enhance processes to link the Production Planning tool to Demand and Order File Management. Increase visibility of data to assist in making tactical and long-term strategic decisions. Focus on the effective use of resources and improving working capital across the Canfor global supply chain. Work with multiple stakeholders across the organization to meet corporate objectives, provide analysis, and enhance and support the effectiveness of the Logistics and Supply Chain departments.
 
Manage and enhance technical functions within the Supply Chain group surrounding the Canfor EDGE suite of applications. Utilize tools within EDGE to generate and maintain reports and processes. Work with the respective sales teams, as well as develop demand forecasts to be used in Canfor’s quarterly planning cycle. Engage with Supply Chain team to ensure continued sharing of best practices. Provide support to key stakeholders, with ad-hoc analysis and recommendations to ensure key deliverables are met. Provide mentorship and support for all team members within the Supply Chain department.
 
Telecommuting permitted 20% per week within same geographic location as assigned office location unless otherwise pre-approved by supervisor.
 
40 hrs./week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary Range:  $126,776 - $130,000/yr.
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Forestry, Wood Science or related plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in supply chain planning, the solid wood products industry, or industrial manufacturing.
 
Of the required experience, must have five (5) years of experience in each of the following Business Intelligence Tools (which may be gained concurrently): Production Planning Tool, JD Edwards, Oracle Transportation Management, Fulfillment, and PowerBI in an ERP environment.
 
Of the required experience, must have three (3) years of experience in each of the following (which may be gained concurrently):
 
· Lumber manufacturing processes – log to market, production profiles, capacity constraints, and product flex opportunities;
· Lumber Grading Standards and product optimization hierarchy;
· Modeling product mix scenarios with large data sets using Power Query / Pivot and custom control tables;
· Supply standards for Big Box Retailers – including quoting, setup, and execution of new vendor managed inventory program business; and
· Distribution Resource Planning – based on supply matrix freight, capacity constraints, and production reliability.
 
Of the required experience, must have two (2) years of experience with custom .NET applications and their connectivity / flow through Enterprise Resource Platforms to facilitate production forecasting, available for sale offering, order file placement, and order fulfillment.
