What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lumber Bag & Tag - Shipping Department position at Canfor?
Position Summary: Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Bag and Tag employee is required to pull and wrap lumber packs and apply proper tags to prepare the lumber for shipping.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pull lumber packs as directed and assemble in preparation for shipping
*Carefully and neatly cover the lumber packs with Canfor wrap to protect product and ensure proper esthetic as requested by the customer
*Use stapler to secure tags and wrapping as per product specifications and ensure end tags are displayed properly
*Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations
*Refer to Bag and Tag Addendum for specific deliverables and ramp up expectations for this role
*Ability to use a fork-lift will be considered an asset*
*Other duties as assigned
*Availability for 12 hour shifts is required*
