The Ultrasound technician will complete the imaging examination according to the study protocol and company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Performs examination according to study protocols and good clinical practices (GCPs) for each individual study
- Provide explanations of examinations, answering questions and offer chaperones to patients in accordance to the company’s policies and procedures.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to company’s policies and procedures.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge through continued education; training and interaction to other ultrasound technicians.
- Supports study binder maintenance with up to date study documents and correspondences.
- Within the limits of safety, adhere to the standard time allotments for each type of scan to maintain the smooth and efficient flow of patients throughout the course of the scheduled day.
- Works with the operations staff, review and update the ultrasound schedule to ensure good patient care and safety and to maintain the patient load at an efficient and productive level.
- Maintains equipment and manage the supply inventory to ensure continued and effective operations.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, policies, and OSHA regulations.
- Provide all proper electronic and paper documentation according to the company’s policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned such as welcome eligible participants to the study, facilitate completion of the study questionnaire, and review patient informed consent forms with participants.
- Certificate of Completion from an accredited program
- Minimum of 1 registry (ARDMS AB, RVT, RDCS)
- Complete proficiency in Abdominal, Vascular and Echocardiogram is a must.
- Two (2) years of experience in a clinical setting with direct patient care
- Proficient with Google applications, MS Word, Excel, data entry, internet, and email applications.
