What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Material Handler/Forklift Operator (3rd shift) position at Canon Business Process Services, Inc.?
CANON is looking to hire a Warehouse Material Handler in Lafayette, IN. This is a full-time permanent position working at our client site!
Working Hours:
- Monday-Friday
- 8 Hour Shifts, 10:30 PM EST-7:00 AM EST
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Picking, packing, and physical material movements to support warehouse activities.
- Responsible for inventory movements, processing shipments, locating inbound materials, cycle counting and all system corresponding transactions
- Loads materials onto vehicles, installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent damage
- Safely moves, loads, and unloads product to and from pallet racks with MHE.
- Reads orders and/or follows oral instructions to meet scheduled activities as directed.
- Receive materials and verify materials against packing lists to ensure accuracy
- Wears personal protective Equipment as required for the job
- Maintain Inventory accuracy and Manufacturing production requirements.
- Operates power industrial trucks and forklift, to push, pull, and lift materials in warehouse
- Material Handlers will also be accountable for the accuracy of material integrity
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-2 years of experience related to Material Handling.
- Experience operating a forklift is required
- Familiarity with MS Office, WMS and RF scanner devices is desired.
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of domestic and international shipping carriers and shipping regulations
- Basic knowledge of equipment.
- Excellent customer service, professional attitude and appearance are a must.
- Ability to work overtime & meet deadlines.
