SUMMARY OF POSITION

CHCU has an immediate opening for a Research & Engagement Manager where the qualified candidate will oversee all CHCU R&D projects with Healthcare Provider research teams, ensuring success from concept to completion. They will work across imaging modalities, communicating, and collaborating with internal teams and healthcare provider investigators and ensuring projects meet the interests and needs of the investigators and Canon. The initial focus of the role will be with the Cleveland Clinic, expanding to projects with other organizations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • R&D Project Leadership
  • Oversee all CHCU R&D projects.
  • Evaluate & refine research proposals to ensure alignment with investigator and Canon objectives and agreed research areas.
  • Coordinate communications between healthcare provider research teams and Canon modality teams.
  • Identification of Future Collaborative Projects
  • Identify future research collaborations with healthcare provider investigators that align with business and product roadmaps.
  • Identify opportunities for healthcare provider investigator involvement in multi-center projects.
  • KPIs and Reporting
  • Establish & monitor KPIs for all activities and define reporting requirements.
  • Deliver management reports to executive groups across Canon businesses and partner healthcare provider organizations.
  • Marketing
  • Identify, contribute, and coordinate marketing/promotional activities across collaborative research programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • B.S. (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred) in medical imaging, health sciences or related field, plus 7 years of relevant healthcare industry experience.

Required Capabilities

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in medical imaging.
  • Ability to interact with medical professionals directly representing Canon.
  • Experience in coordinating collaborative R&D projects with Healthcare Providers from concept to completion.
  • Demonstrated track record in engaging with KOLs and investigators.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with external and internal (Canon subsidiaries) stake holders and drive collaboration with cross functional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of R&D projects.

Work Location

  • This position is based in CHCU’s home office in Mayfield Village (Cleveland), Ohio.

Travel

  • The ability to complete domestic and international is required.
