OVERVIEW
- Ensure all shipments and receipts in the warehouse are managed in a timely manner, and perform assigned aspects of packing, packaging and internal logistics for the NRC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pull parts from inventory locations.
- Package items to be shipped in a manner so that the items arrive undamaged.
- Assist in loading and unloading of trucks.
- Certified in forklift operation.
- Place materials into stock.
- Generate air/way bills.
- Maintain filing systems in support of policy and procedure.
- Arrange for pickups from vendors.
- Enter all shipments received on a receiving log sheet.
- Distribute items received to the addressed departments or individuals.
- Verify contents of incoming shipments to packing slips and purchase orders.
- Provide warehouse security during business hours by following process and procedure.
- Notify supervisor of damaged receipts.
- Photocopy paperwork for record keeping.
- Distribute paperwork in a timely manner.
- Maintain warehouse integrity and cleanliness.
- Perform general labor tasks as needed.
- Operate automated packaging equipment and other material handling equipment.
- Notify supervisor of equipment needing repair/calibration or in unsafe condition.
- Ensure part integrity by following process and procedure in parts handling and Electro Static Discharge.
- Assemble standard crates for equipment to be shipped.
- Operate power saw and hand tools.
- Assist in the staging and de-staging of equipment for tradeshows.
- Build and assemble customized crates.
- Monitor and re-order supplies when needed.
- Personal contacts involve telephone or written communication outside CMSU as well as with internal departments and involve routine or non-controversial matters.
- Closely supervised: activities are governed by well-established rules and procedures and are often monitored; very little flexibility to determine method or scheduling of work.
- Work on wide variety of routine tasks that involve some choice of actions within limits.
- Position duties involve making some decisions and recommendations.
- Errors may cause the Company to incur a modest financial loss or may cause modest embarrassment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Good driving record.
- CA. Drivers license (Class âCâ)
- Able to drive a truck.
- Knowledge of computer data systems.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships.
- Ability to work overtime as required to meet business demands.
- Minimum: 1 years Experience in shipping and receiving
- Preferred: 2 years Experience in shipping and receiving
