Warehouser II

Overview

The Canon U.S.A. Logistics Division receives, maintains and ships inventory of various Canon products. Located in our Jamesburg, NJ Distribution Center, the Warehouser II will pick and pack merchandise into proper containers and handling units while maintaining accurate inventory levels by verifying item numbers.   This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory.

Responsibilities

- Pick, package, and transfer requested items. May report stock damage and spoilage - May perform related clerical duties, such as preparation of shipping documents, control of pick sheets, and maintaining records - Store and retrieve merchandise from inventory location(s) as directed by the Warehouse Management System (WMS) - Prepare orders for shipment, which includes packing, sorting, wrapping, weighing and labeling parcels and palletized merchandise in a manner which ensures the occurrence of transport damage is minimized - Load and off – load trucks following established distribution guidelines and procedures - Assist with regular inventory control procedures, verifying that merchandise in stock corresponds to the inventory report

Qualifications

PLEASE NOTE: As a federal government contractor, we comply with all applicable federal laws, regulations, orders and mandates.  As a result, the person performing this role must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless the Company grants an exemption based on a disability/medical condition or sincerely held religious belief.      - Typically requires general education and/or vocational training plus 1 to 2 years of related experience - This position requires the ability to work as a member of a team and to work overtime - Attention to detail is required - This position may require the ability to obtain forklift certification - Basic knowledge and understanding of functionality of a Warehouse Management System preferred (Computer & hard wired scanner, Radio Frequency scanners, hand held or wrist mounted devices) - Required to adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment guidelines outlined in Canon Company Policies and follow all housekeeping and recycling guidelines - This position requires the ability to lift and move heavy objects, typically up to 50 lbs., but occasionally may require the ability to lift more than 50 lbs. with assistance - Warehouse may be subject to ambient temperature and humidity conditions     The company will not pursue or support visa sponsorship for this position.
