Overview
The Manager of Vehicle displays is responsible for delivering a fully validated display and control system for a production vehicle program.
Responsibilities
- Lead definition and selection of appropriate technology of Canoo vehicle displays. Stay at the forefront of technology for display applications in vehicles
- Define design requirements from system and component level and capture them in a Component Technical Specification
- Contribute to vehicle behaviors, vehicle attributes, HARA and functional safety, regulatory requirements, quality requirements, hardware requirements, wire harness design, DFEMA, DVP etc
- Collaborate with design, vehicle hardware/software development, and manufacturing groups to develop elegant display solutions
- Develop and maintain the electrical system configuration
- Creative problem solving to ensure optimal functionality and packaging for display solutions
- Define/perform required testing and failure analysis and review results from vendors and cross-functional teams
- Lead & mentor small team of engineers
- Manage Display suppliers as a primary technical contact
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering. MS preferred
- 7 years of experience with vehicle electrical system architecture design
- 7 years of experience with vehicle Display design and integration
- 5 years leading a team of engineers
- High level of proficiency with PCB layout and developing electrical schematics
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management
- Experience engaging with international supply chains
- Knowledge of design and validation requirements for common digital interfaces
- Knowledge of Automotive Display technology trends
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling preferred
