Tigg's Canteen Services is looking to hire a Full-time Food Service Manager for the Chippewa County correctional facility located in Sault Ste Marie, MI. This position starts at $20/hour and we also offer a competitive benefits package, available after the first 90 days, which includes medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD SERVICE MANAGER
As a Food Services Manager, you are part of the backbone of our company that provides first-level interaction between our customers and the company. Providing supervision for trustees and inmate workers, you assist in the preparation of every meal. Under your leadership, they are well-trained and knowledgeable about all food-handling within the kitchen. You ensure that our company's recipes are followed, and specific meals are adjusted according to special diets. Additional responsibilities will be taking temperatures to follow food safety guidelines, helping with inventory, placing/receiving orders, and being prepared for inspections. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FOOD SERVICE MANAGER
- Availability to work shifts varying from 6:00am-4:00pm.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
- Full-time Hours ranging from 35-40 hours per week
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Successfully pass a MVR
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Availability to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
- Leadership ability
