Manufacturing General Laborer

Canton Drop Forge, a leading producer of large, closed die forgings in Canton, Ohio, is seeking to add members to our team.

We are seeking valuable employees within the following production and skilled roles:

· Forge Laborer: Industrial production labor; piece rate role; average $23-$30/hr

· Finishing Inspection: Brinell and NDT Inspectors; starting rate of $19.76/hr

· Furnace Operator: Operator Heat Treating furnaces, shot blast equipment, and machinery; starting rate of $18.67/hr

· Tool & Die Machinist: CNC and Manual Machining; pay range $18.76-$23/hr starting rate

· Mechanical Repair / Millwright: Industrial maintenance throughout plant; pay range $24.75-$27.75

CDF offers numerous advancement opportunities and on-the-job training. All hourly positions fall under Union-protected Employment.

Requirements

· Multi-tasking.

· Strong safety orientation.

· Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.

· Attention to detail.

· Must be able to read, write, complete shop math, and use hand tools.

· Prior manufacturing experience a plus.

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to stand the majority of the workday.

· Job may involve standing, walking, twisting, turning, reaching, bending, climbing steps, lifting, pushing, and pulling.

· Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly during the day.

· Must be able to tolerate potential extreme heat in summer months and potential extreme cold during winter months.
