Location: Huntsville, AL

Required Experience & Skills:

• Responsible to serve as the SME for the Accounting Team and work closely with the Systems Team to ensure proper interfaces of the Accounting Programs with Systems.
• Reviews and analyzes data from various source system interfaces to ensure all obligation and disbursement data have been correctly captured in GFEBS.
• Review, interpret and administer applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures to ensure integrity of financial records and reports. Ensure that proper desk procedures/SOPs are in place for the positions assigned.
• Identify weaknesses in business processes and develop alternative guidance to meet government rules, regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Review weekly Intermediate Document (IDOC) reports, research errors and clear per AFC guidance.
• Ensures audit readiness compliance for responsible programs, reviewing documentation and processes and will issue guidance and job aids to personnel as needed to ensure compliance. Responsible to ensure audit samples are provided and walkthroughs are conducted as required by auditors.
• Reviews and analyzes data subject to DAR-Q certification reviews and provides the ensures responses are submitted in the prescribed timeframe.
• Establish and maintain individual and organizational interaction with internal and external customers in order to creating positive work relationships.
• Review and analyze data from various databases to answer suspense's and taskers from customers, management, and other agencies as required.
• Conduct periodic execution reviews by analyzing financial data to provide funding status.
• Ability to compile and format complex financial information and enter data correctly into various databases.
• Ability to provide training of accounting processes within AvMC. Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Engineering or a related field required.

Required Security Level: Must be able to obtain and maintain secret clearance.
