Range Scheduler
Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL
DESCRIPTION:
Canvas, Inc. is seeking a Range Scheduler! This individual works as a member of a team scheduling range resources for multiple DoD Departments, Air Force Major Commands, and a plethora of developmental and operational test units to develop and test new capabilities for the US Air Force. The position requires an individual with motivation and initiative to support developmental flight testing in a dynamic high-tempo environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the 96th Operations Support Squadron, Current Operations Flight in the development and management of the Eglin Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) test and training mission schedule.
- Provide schedule management support for Eglin MRTFB test, training, and exercise programs under 96 TW long and short range scheduling processes by assisting with program planning, mission priority, range resource assignments, operations and control center coordination, mission submittals, frequency analysis, mission de-confliction and mission execution.
- Use the 96 Test Wing Center Scheduling Enterprise (CSE) system to de-conflict and schedule missions requiring land test and training ranges, warning and restricted airspace, and other resources.
- Integrate more than 100 daily mission submittals into a completed schedule providing efficient use of range resources, adequate mission time to meet objectives, and minimal resource conflicts to ensure maximum productivity and mission effectiveness.
- Communicate with personnel from USAF, US Navy, US Army, Air Force Research Lab, Other DOD, non-DOD, and commercial test and training organizations to provide range scheduling assistance and discuss range and mission requirements prior to mission submittal deadlines.
- Participate in meetings and briefings to discuss high priority and complex events, major resource requirements, limiting factors, and scheduling issues and concerns.
- Assist Test Engineers and Mission Submitters with mission scheduling requirements to ensure valid and accurate mission submittals prior to submittal deadlines.
- Assist the Joint Test and Training Operations Control Center (JTTOCC) by providing real-time support to test and training missions in progress, including input on range safety, land range requirements changes, maximization of limited range resources, and coordination with Eglin Mission Control on airspace issues.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have and be able to maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in applicable discipline and 1 - 3 years of experience or related experience
- Highly proficient with computers and software applications, expert attention-to-detail & highly organized
- Must be able to effectively communicate orally and possess technical writing skill
- Must have a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of an integrated test team
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience scheduling test missions or range resources
- Experience working in AF organizations
- Working knowledge of 96 TW Information Systems including Center Scheduling Enterprise
