Reporting to the SVP of National Digital Investment, the Director of Digital Investment manages a team in the creation, execution and stewardship of digital partnerships. The Director is a key collaborator both internally and with members of the client and creative agency.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to SVP of National Digital Investment, the Director will be responsible for leading a team to manage one of our largest accounts at the agency, within the auto category
- Works closely with Strategy leads to understand client information, campaign media objectives and strategies and synthesize into digital ideas and executions
- Leverages digital knowledge and experience to push innovative thinking
- Create and present Digital media plan recommendations internally and to clients
- Works closely with Content Partnership, Programmatic and Paid Social leads to ensure custom programs and executions align with overall campaign objectives
- Set meaningful team goals that meet and balance client, company and team needs
- Ability to work with minimal supervision managing clients, media partners, internal teams and overall product delivery
- Review all work thoroughly to ensure high quality standards
- Work closely with analytics team to monitor, report and drive insights on campaign performance
- Participate and lead team brainstorms to launch plans
- Guide the team in analyzing proposals and partner negotiations
- Manage day-to-day communication with key partners: Top level vendors, preferred partners, etc.
- Work closely with agency leadership on industry wide marketplace reports and POVs
Qualifications
- Understanding of digital media buying and steps needed to set a campaign live
- Familiar with Prisma or similar tool
- Familiar with industry programs such as comScore, Nielsen, and DSPs
- Thrives in fast paced environment
- Thinks strategically
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills, ability to communicate to internal managers and clients
- Solid understanding of the principles of marketing and advertising, media concepts and terms, and creative and budget requirements
- High level proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office products as well as planning tools
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to follow through
- Extremely detail-oriented and precise
- Digitally Savvy: Personally uses digital media, demonstrates passion about emerging media, and ability to search and research topics, etc.
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10-12 years of experience specifically in digital planning and buying
- 5 years mentoring and developing staff
- Auto category experience a plus
