Head of Product

CanvasPrints.com is a custom artwork print shop located in Hendersonville, NC. We print photos and artwork on leading edge presses that produce the highest quality prints. Our frames are cut and made in house and our canvas stretching is done in house as well.

We are looking for a motivated and driven Head of Product for our Hendersonville facility!

Job Duties:

• Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.

• Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.

• Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.

• Assesses product market data

• Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests.

• Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.

• Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production.

• Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Using market research to get ideas for products that customers will want

• Helping to oversee the design and manufacture and planning how to market and promote the product to the public

• Defining product marketing communication objectives

• Comparing the company's products to competitor's products in order to assess competition in the market

• Providing management with analyses and reports and responding to questions and requests from management

• Specifying and overseeing the research needed to determine the needs and desires of customers

• Reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and product production schedules to maintain product availability

Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required since the Head of Product has to communicate with team members, other departments, upper management and consumers of the company's products

• Expertise in the product or market including specific technical or industry knowledge

• Superior project management and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure

• Natural tendency to be curious, positive and creative

• Team player who collaborates well with others

• Commitment to delving deep into the challenges they present or experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
