Responsibilities
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Spa Operations Supervisor is responsible for assisting and supporting the Director of Operations with overseeing the successful operation of the spa operations at the CR Wellness Club Spa. They supervise spa staff, including Massage Therapists and Aestheticians, front desk and locker room attendants. Additionally, they are responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of the guest experience in the Spa.
Guest Satisfaction: Ensures all guest requests and issues are accommodated expediently and courteously. Trouble-shoots and resolves guest/member problems or complaints. Informs the Director of Operations of any unresolved incidents or issues that occurred during shift. Maintains visibility and is available on the floor to ensure that staff supports guests as necessary. Expected to provide back-up support and provide coverage to the department. Ensures all staff follow proper daily procedures and supports department, colleagues and guests with a focus on guest engagement.
Administration: Performs administrative functions for Spa. Supervises Spa staff to ensure consistency of operations, guest experience/service and inventory of supplies. Maintains weekly work schedules for staff. Working closely with the Director of Operations, creates, implements and ensures appropriate new hire and regular refresher training for all Spa staff. Maintains and distributes current and accurate contact lists and schedules. Responsible for ordering and inventory of all Spa supplies. Assists in the development, implementation and maintaining of all standard operating procedures in the Spa.
Facility: Provides “critical eye” perspective to Spa facilities (i.e., cleanliness, repairs, supplies, etc.). Maintains a strong partnership with the Facilities Department to ensure strong communication of problems and timely repairs. Monitors and ensures proper and regular maintenance of Spa. Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazards, conditions, or unsafe practices and procedures.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Prior knowledge of position/industry (3-5 years previous experience in same or related field).
- Excellent ability to create and implement systems and proactively identify processes that need to be modified ( in partnership with Operations Director).
- Proven ability to engage and support team of service providers.
- Experience with scheduling in a spa/salon environment and managing controllable labor costs
- Experience working in a luxury hospitality environment, a plus
