Overview:
CAMO requires a middle-level operations research analyst to perform all aspects of project planning, data collection, organization, analysis and reporting as part of our multi-functional operational team.
*Must be a US Citizen capable of holding a US Government-issued security clearance*
Specific tasks:
Identify and solve problems in defense-related areas using commonly accepted operations research techniques.
Collect and organize information from a variety of sources, such as testing range instrumentation, platform / weapon telemetry, system logs, and disparate computer databases. Examine information to figure out what is relevant to a problem and what methods might be used to analyze it.
Gather input and assessments from various subject matter experts (SME’s) to refine problem definitions and work towards resolution.
Use statistical analysis, simulations, predictive modeling, advanced mathematical and other analytical methods to analyze information and develop practical solutions to problems.
Advise managers and other decision makers on the effects of various courses of action to take in order to address a problem
Write test plans, memos, reports, and other documents to explain findings and aid in decision-making.
Present your findings coherently and effectively to your peers and decision-makers.
Ultimately, work effectively in a challenging and dynamic team environment to assist CAMO in supporting the warfighter.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in operations research, industrial engineering, mathematics, statistics or an equivalent.
