Job Summary:

This position assists with the design, development, and testing of electrical equipment, components, or systems. They must be familiar with mathematical and engineering principles and methods used to design electrical systems. This individual is guided by and provides support to more experienced engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or assigned.
  • Produce engineering documentation such as schematic drawings, harness drawings, design manual content, and operation and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Basic Skill Requirements:

* Creative design, cross-functional teamwork, working with suppliers and manufacturing.

  • Required engineering skills include both analytical and "hands-on" abilities.
  • Requires 0-2 years of related experience.

Description of Work Environment and Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to an indoor/outdoor plant non-climate-controlled area. The noise level is usually moderate. In the plant, eye protection is mandatory, hearing protection and dust mask may be required in identified areas.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger; handle or feel objects; tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Normal Equipment Used:

Equipment normally associated with Office, Quality and Production Activities including Computers, Copy Machines, Fax Machines, Telephones, Calibrated measuring tools and equipment, gauges or inspection fixtures, power tools, hand tools, etc.

Contact with Others:

Ability to work in a "team atmosphere" or independently in a fast-paced environment. Has contact with other production personnel, Sales, Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Lean, Product Support and other personnel or Vendors, as necessary.
