Biomedical Systems Analyst

Work Location: Wright Patterson AFB, OH

Cape Fox is seeking a highly qualified professional to join our team in support of a government customer. This position is contingent upon award.

Core Duties:

• Assist biological and medical scientists in laboratories, setting up, operating, and maintaining laboratory instruments & equipment, monitoring experiments, making observations, and calculating/recording results
• Perform analysis of organic substances such as blood and nasal wash, as well as arthropod vectors like ticks and mosquitoes
• Assist PHT staff in the organization of research initiatives, programs, and communication in accordance with customer need
• Update/conduct review of scientific literature relevant to PHT research initiatives
• Support experimental planning, protocol execution, and data collection, coding, and analysis
• Support development, reporting, and editing of competitive, well-written, full drafts of research proposals, papers, and presentations
• Assist with the preparation, coordination, and submission of protocol-related documents to Institutional Review Boards (IRB) or Institutional Biosafety Committee
• Support the preparation of reports of program initiatives at the direction and input of PHT staff

Requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in a biological science, chemistry, or pharmacology field, with at least five (5) years of work experience in one of these fields
• Possess familiarity with biology techniques (microscopy, cell culture, DNA/RNA prep, PCR, and sequencing), working with CLIA assays, and at least eight years of experience in a laboratory
• Possess excellent organizational, management, and communications skills including writing ability
• Possess experience with program and/or project management including cost/schedule/performance metrics
• Possess a documented history of scientific writing as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications
• Have a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in place with their company based on the potential access to confidential, proprietary, and/or sensitive information. The NDA shall be provided to the Government Program Manager by start of performance
• Must be able to pass a Tier 1 Background Investigation
