Cape Regional Health System is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving residents and visitors throughout Cape May County.
Cape Regional Physicians Associates has over 60 primary care providers and specialists, delivering services in multiple locations throughout Cape May County.
Responsibilities
- Schedules services, ensuring all aspects of appointments are appropriate and accurate, including patient demographics and appointment details
- Obtains and records patient insurance, prescriptions, referrals and other financial and clinical documents
- Verifies insurance eligibility and ensures that insurance requirements are met prior to delivery of service.
- Previous data entry / typing experience, knowledge of basic office equipment, computer experience
- Must be proficient in Word / Excel and EMR, have good organizational skills and have experience with multi-line telephone system
- Should possess the initiative and ability to set and achieve high standards of performance
- Ability to make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints
- Ability to deal with public with professionalism and compassion in stressful situations and prevent, calm, or defuse irate callers and patients by working with them to identify concerns and properly directs calls
- Ability to hear inquiries from patients, physicians, clients or staff, answer phone and speak with patients
- Elicits appropriate information to route calls to the appropriate person
- Ability to use multi-line phone system, including transferring calls and paging
Requirements
- Five years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging Scheduling, preferred
