JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep supply room, refrigerators, freezers and receiving area in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition.
- Receive and stores all incoming food, equipment, chemicals, paper goods and other supplies in a timely, neat and efficient manner, using proper rotation procedures (first in - first out).
- Verify invoices and receiving documents of goods received for accuracy.
- Inventory supplies and equipment in an efficient and timely manner, and maintains knowledge of location of all items.
- Fill daily requisitions and delivers as necessary.
- Use ordering system, including computer, traveling requisitions, and purchase orders to place orders as directed.
- Notify Production Supervisor or Executive Chef immediately upon discovery of low level or stock out conditions.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Some stockroom experience desired. Must be familiar with principles of sanitation in storage and rotation of stock and supplies.
Must be able to interpret specification on purchase orders and invoices.
- Interpersonal skills must be well developed.
- Should possess the initiative and ability to set and achieve high standards of performance.
- Ability to make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing.
- Ability to learn specific job duties and complete detailed work assignments.
- Ability to perform the manipulation of numbers and basic math calculations.
