Position: Food Runner
Reports To: Expeditor, Restaurant Supervisor, Restaurant Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Position Overview: The food runner is responsible for the correct service of food to the restaurant and bar, and proper communication with the expeditor.
These duties may be described as, but not limited to:
· Firing food
· Ordering food
· Serving food with correct condiments in a timely and professional manner
· Communicating with the expeditor
· Maintaining a clean and organized work space
· Professional interaction with restaurant guests
· Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all training sessions and meetings is required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
· Knowledge of local and federal health codes
· Knowledge of menu and food preparation
· Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length.
· Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel in a timely manner.
· Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High school degree or equivalent
· Previous experience as a food runner preferred
· All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Congress Hall standards.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
