About the Role
We seek an energetic lead hardware design engineer with experience in designing, testing, and troubleshooting prototype and space flight systems down to the component level.
What you’ll do
- You will lead a team of electrical engineers along with performing design tasks to support next generation electronics.
- You will be a key member of a small group of engineers responsible for the core avionics of the satellite, including digital and analog systems.
- You will be at the forefront of architecting a product from beginning to end.
- You will be expected to work with a multidisciplinary team to define the overall system design, parts selection, and testing approaches.
Desired Qualifications (Not All Are Expected):
- 7-10 years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs and avionics systems in a hardware R&D lab environment
- Understanding of hardware evaluation methodologies, including the development of test cases/suites, performance analysis, test automation, and data analysis
- Extensive knowledge of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, and other test equipment
- Expert knowledge of signal Integrity and experience with applying It and Identifying Issues
- Familiarity with I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, etc
- Expert knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics
- Expert knowledge of Altium design tools or other similar electronic CAD tools
- Ability to understand an embedded electronics architecture and Identify Its strengths and weaknesses
- Experience with designing high-reliability systems Is a bonus
- Experience working on space flight projects
