We are seeking an experienced Repair Stress Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. This role involves performing static, fatigue, and damage tolerance stress analysis on aircraft programs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in aeronautical or mechanical engineering and will work closely with Design Engineers to provide timely stress substantiations for manufacturing and assembly issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, recommend, and provide final stress justification for reworks and repairs on defects found on the airframe's primary structure.
- Work closely with Design Engineers to provide timely stress substantiations to various manufacturing and assembly issues.
- Collaborate with the Stress Engineering team to resolve key technical issues.
- Document analysis in stress work files thoroughly.
- Ensure rework acceptance based on equivalent strength capability and equivalent stress levels.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in aeronautical engineering.
- Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) or MAP in commercial/business aircraft; previous MRB delegation is an asset.
- Strong background in static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis as well as finite element analysis.
- Proficient in stress calculations and justifications.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with NASTRAN, PATRAN, FEMAP.
- Experience with CAD tools like CATIA V5 and SOLIDWORKS.
- Familiarity with NASGRO for fracture and fatigue analysis.
- Competency in MS Office, especially Excel and VBA programming.

- Ability to communicate complex technical issues effectively.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $36.98/hour - $57.79/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
