Position Purpose
The Credit Administration Analyst, working directly with the Chief Credit Officer (CCO), is responsible for collection, evaluation, and entry of data elements necessary to support the Bank’s estimates of lifetime expected credit losses, concentration management program. This includes stress testing, as well as various trend and portfolio segment reporting in support of the Bank’s internal and external reporting requirements.
Position Responsibilities
- Works closely with CCO to develop a deep understanding of the Bank’s CECL model components and data entry requirements.
- Using the Bank’s model/reporting systems the Credit Administration Analyst will be required to identify and document risk characteristics of the Bank’s loan portfolio at the segment level including risk rating, asset class, collateral type, size, geographic location, industry, and vintage.
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets loan portfolio data to provide key insights to the CCO and management for use in reporting and to frame policy recommendations.
- Prepares the monthly credit dashboard data to provide consistent and timely documentation to the CCO in support of the Bank’s CECL, Concentration, and Special Assets reporting requirements.
- Completes the monthly and quarterly loan portfolio reconciliation reporting to the CCO which will be used to support a timely financial statement and Call Report filing.
- Enforces the Bank’s appraisal policy related to minimum collateral valuation standards as needed in the evaluation of individually analyzed loans and in connection with the Bank’s CRE concentration program.
- Executes standard reporting tasks efficiently and effectively while minimizing errors.
Minimum Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- 7 years of experience in a financial/commercial lending environment with proven experience and ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and present data to inform business decisions.
- Basic understanding of CECL is preferred.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to set priorities in a multi-task environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong mathematical skills with an ability to collect, measure, and statistically analyze data.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office with specific capability in Word and Excel.
