Position Description
Capital Blue Cross has an exciting opportunity for a Salesforce Business Analyst to join our award-winning organization. Power Award. The Salesforce Business Analyst (SF BA) interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their problems and needs. The analyst gathers, documents, and analyzes business needs and requirements. This role is responsible for the business oversight of Salesforce, to ensure full utilization and tailoring of the platform to match and support business objectives, using agile techniques and strategies. This role will review and analyze business processes, services and information needs with a view to implementing change management initiatives to improve the user experience and increase productivity. This role will collaborate with the Salesforce development team, will be adaptable and embrace change, as well as, having a competent technical understanding to better support the team and platform. A vital part of the role will be training Salesforce users across the business and modeling Salesforce Champion behavior.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the health care industry and CBC corporate structure. Includes knowledge of standards, policies, and business practices and procedures for multiple departments/systems. Is familiar with those business services, systems and/or processes provided by external business partners.
- Knowledge of data processing terminology and concepts. Includes a high level technical understanding of technologies such as Salesforce.com, DemandTools, DupeBlocker, Conga Composer, Snapshot, Microsoft Office Suite, Data Modeling Technology, Cloud based and SaaS systems as well as knowledge of batch and real-time processing environments. Also includes knowledge of online change methodologies (i.e. Remedy), Quality Center and Web-Based Products.
- Strong understanding of business processes and organizational vision/goals
- Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and business analyst standards
Experience:
- 3 years of experience with Salesforce.com setup and configuration
- 5 years business analyst experience
- 1-2 years’ project management experience
- Proficient MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio user
- Extensive experience in data modeling, process mapping and specification documentation
- Experience facilitating workshops and discussion sessions
- Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining system processes and procedures
- Experience in creating business cases for technology-related solutions
- Experience completing projects on time, on budget and to specification requirements
- Experience in people management
Education, Certification, and Licenses:
Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in one of the following; business administration, health planning and administration, information systems, computer science; and three to five years' relative experience
