Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing construction blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret project plans, requirements, and specifications.
- Utilize software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating tools to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Analyze project scope and contract terms to ensure accurate pricing.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimates.
- Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the estimating process.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining cost estimates, expenses, and potential savings.
Experience:
- Proven experience in construction estimating and project management.
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles.
- Ability to negotiate contracts and pricing effectively.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
