CDIB is seeking a seasoned Head of Markets Structuring and Distribution to serve as a key member and leader within the executive team. As a first-of-its-kind mission-oriented broker dealer, the company is looking for a strategic, innovative and experience capital markets leader who will tap into their extensive network to place debt into financial institutions for social impact borrowers and issuers, while managing the entirety of the structuring and distribution process.
A successful candidate will have a strong debt background with a track record of working with a variety of financial institutions. This executive will be a hands-on, “player coach” and have the personal drive, passion, and enthusiasm to both understand and successfully navigate an early-stage, hyper-growth business and fast-paced environment in an evolving and competitive landscape.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in syndicating non-traditional investment grade products. They must be able to communicate and simplify complex issues in a compelling and business-oriented manner to a broad audience. The individual must also be hands-on and willing to roll up their sleeves and run the process from start to finish. The successful candidate will offer the following:

Key responsibilities include the following:
- Raising (structuring and placing) debt from institutional investors for mission driven borrows and issuers
- Building relationships with institutional investors committed to developing social impact as an investable asset class – large and small asset managers, banks, insurance companies, endowments and foundations
- Cultivate relationships with the corporate stakeholders including c-suite and Head of HR to determine appropriate structure to fit both stakeholders needs
- Owning financing across the entire process - sourcing, structuring, negotiating and documenting financing structures
- Understanding relative value across various financing options
- Having a strong debt background across various types of debt including high yield, investment grade and securitization.
- Understanding of structures, rating agency criteria and innovations in the market
- Working with lawyers while negotiating and documenting agreements
Experience & Expertise:
To be effective in this role, the Head of Markets Structuring and Distribution will specifically have the following key pivotal experiences and expertise:
- Proven financing expertise across asset classes that include syndicated loans, unitranche loans, and second lien loans to corporates
- Extensive experience in developing capital structures and financing strategies as well as leading day-to-day execution of all aspects of financings across multiple transaction types, as well as interest rate hedging and other risk mitigation strategies.
- Strong financing and structuring acumen possessing an acute sense of the risk of financing
- Successful track record. Enjoys a strong reputation and regard among their industry peers for their overall financing acumen and performance
- Connectivity with institutional investors and other broker dealers, as well as knowing where the money supply is at any given point in time. Internationally focused distribution is a plus
- Must be able to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced and complex environment
