Landscaping Team Leader
Job Summary:
The Landscaping Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and participating in landscaping projects to ensure quality work and client satisfaction. This role involves managing a team, coordinating daily tasks, and driving the team safely to job sites. The ideal candidate will have prior landscaping experience and possess a chauffeur's license.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management and Supervision:
- Lead a team of landscapers and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Assign daily work tasks to team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Foster a positive team environment, encourage professional growth, and maintain morale.
Project Planning and Execution:
- Plan, organize, and oversee landscaping projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
- Read and interpret landscape designs and plans, ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
- Safely operate landscaping tools and machinery, such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and power tools.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report issues to management.
Safety Compliance:
- Implement and follow safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure a safe work environment.
- Ensure team members use protective equipment and follow safety standards.
Transportation:
- Drive the team to job sites in company vehicles, ensuring safety and compliance with traffic laws.
- Possess and maintain a valid chauffeur's license for operating larger company vehicles.
Client Interaction:
- Maintain communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality landscaping services.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in landscaping or a related field, with supervisory or team leader experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret landscaping designs and plans.
- Proficiency in operating landscaping tools and machinery.
- Valid chauffeur’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
