Associate, Insurance Strategy & Management
Insurance Strategy & Management's (ISM) objective is to partner with internal clients and an external supplier network to minimize insurance related risks to Capital One by utilizing world-class risk management and insurance marketplace capabilities. This role is an exciting opportunity for those looking to further their career in risk management and insurance.
The Associate in this role will play a performing role in the Corporate Insurance Risk Management function, supporting the team in its work to procure insurance policies for the enterprise, to monitor third party insurance risk transfer, and to support ISM's insurance consulting across the enterprise. This Associate will also be responsible for supporting a broad range of risk management and insurance initiatives.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Monitor and analyze new and renewal certificates of insurance for compliance with Capital One contract requirements

Support corporate insurance consultation activities
-
Provide evidence of Capital One's insurance to third party vendors
-
Update and maintain job aids and internal team sites
-
Assist in managing insurance broker and carrier relationships
-
Respond to requests from our insurance broker and carrier partners
-
Support the corporate insurance risk management department operations
-
Support day-to-day management activities of capital one's captive insurance company

Claim support for Financial and Professional Lines of coverage

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
-
At least 1 year of experience in commercial lines insurance or commercial insurance risk management or commercial insurance brokerage or commercial insurance underwriting.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Communication, or Finance/Accounting

2 years of experience in commercial lines insurance, commercial insurance risk management, commercial insurance brokerage, OR commercial insurance underwriting.

Management Liability Insurance Specialist (MLIS) OR Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) OR Certified Risk Manager (CRM) OR Associate in Risk Management (ARM) OR Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) OR Associate in General Insurance (AINS)
